Introduction

As we know that the music is an ancestry from SAMA VEDA, it has assigned in an important place in culture and tradition of India. Music has taken its respectable place in FINE ARTS. Our ancestors had defined our renowned music as “SisurvetthiPashurvetthiVetthi gaana rasam phanihi”. So ,everyone has to believe that learning or teaching this FINE ART – MUSIC is a boon.

Classical dance in India has developed a type of dance drama that is a form of a total theatre. The criteria for being considered as classical is the style’s adherence to the guidelines laid down in Natyasastra, which explains the Indian art of acting. The tradition of dance has been codified in the Natyasastra and a performance is considered accomplished if it manages to evoke a rasa among the audience by invoking a particular bhava or rasa.

As these fine arts have splendid qualities, our ancestors had decided to propagate such renowned fine arts to the common people by establishing few organisations , trusts and institutions.

Based upon this marvellous thought, in the year 1957, 12th March, an institution in Secunderabad under Government has been taken an onset. Our college has successfully completed 60 years of its journey and serving these art forms to the passionated people. Many Legendary artists like Nookala China Satynarayana, Nedunuri Krishna Murthy, G.N Dantale, Sri Rangam Gopala Ratnam, Akella Mallikharjuna Sharma, Komanduri Seshadri etc had worked as Principals in this college and uplifted these fine arts and marked their impeccable presence.
